In recent years Camp has been held in an activity centre in Devon called Heatree Activity Centre. Despite the misnomer, not a piece of canvas can be seen at Camp, for the centre is newly renovated with en-suite dormitories sleeping 4 to 8 people. The centre (a Christian one) runs its own activities and the girls take part in a variety of activities including:
- rock scrambling
- high ropes
- stream scrambling
- mountain biking
- adventure course
We also have quieter activities in the evening, such as board games and handicrafts.
There are normally trips to the local swimming pool, shops and a day trip to the beach or an adventure park.
We have a time in the morning when we begin the day by taking a few minutes to look at the Bible and an evening session taken by a leader where we have a short time of singing and explain the Christian faith to the girls. Everyone attends these activities.
We also have an additional ‘spiritual agenda’ for those girls who would like to study the Bible a little more.
Then there is the Camp Banquet, Camp fire, sport, and daily competitions.
